Dwyana Garrett- Owner

Hello, my name is Dwyana Garrett and I am the owner, tumbling coach, and All Star Coach at Unity Cheer. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and a Master’s Degree in Special Education. My experience includes 30 years of combined competitive gymnastics, cheerleading, and coaching. My competitive gymnastics and cheerleading experience includes training at Bela Karolyi's gymnastics camp, the Official Training site of the USA National Team, eight years middle school / all-star cheer, and four years as a cheerleader at Kentucky State University. I am a member of USA Cheer and the United States All Star Federation (USASF). I serve on several committees with the USASF (Exceptional Athlete Committee, Regional Advisory Board, Connection Leaders) and I'm also the Head Cheerleading Coach at Kentucky State University.


 
  Danielle Brown Hello, my name is Danielle. I have 23 years of combined Dance and Coaching experience. I am a graduate of Bellarmine University with a double major in English and Political Science. I am a former 4 year member of the Bellarmine University Dance Team. We were the 2015 National Dance Alliance (NDA)  Division II National Champions. A'mya Simpson- Tumbling Instructor

Hello, my name is A’ mya Simpson. I have 16 years of cheer experience, and 2 years of coaching experience. During high school I was captain in both my 11th and 12th-grade year. I have cheered for five different teams ranging from community youth league to collegiate cheer. The teams that I have cheered for include Highview, Thomas Jefferson Middle School, Westport Middle School, Central High School, and now Kentucky State University. I am studying Nursing at Kentucky State University and am CPR/First Aid certified. Cheer isn’t just something I do to pass time, it’s a passion.

 

 Ashley Bellucci- Pre-School Instructor

Ashley Kimbrough was born and raised right here in Louisville, Ky. Coach Ashley has 16 years of combined Cheer and Coaching experience. Ashley is a graduate of Kentucky State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics. Ashley later received a Masters of Arts in Middle School Education from Morehead State University. While at Kentucky State University her activities included cheerleading, working with the Jumpstart Program, and volunteering with the Frankfort Bengals Little League Cheerleading Team.  Since childhood, Ashley knew she wanted to teach and work with children. She began making this dream a reality by volunteering or working with children and youth to gain experience in various activities. Ashley believes that it takes a village to raise a child and since she has no children of her own yet she is excited to be a part of Unity Cheer to help teach your child-athlete sportsmanship and discipline.

 

 

 

 

Hillary Darst- All Star Cooridnator,  Support Staff

My name is Hillary Darst. I'm an ECE Instructional Assistant, an Independent Scentsy Consultant along with being a full time mommy to my son. I have three years of experience with cheer/dance and I absolutely love being here at Unity Cheer. I love watching our athletes grow in what they love to do and achieve new goals.
